Follow the Plan Through to Dawn

Every plan has a cycle of delivery.

A business plan, a start up, a study course or relocation overseas.

Enthusiasm drives the starting period forward as we embrace the new challenge.

A rhythm is then created that builds towards the results.

It’s still uphill as you work to create something from nothing.

With any plan there then comes a dip.

Chaos theory suggests it’s easier for things to become tangled, for wires to cross, for random distractions to distract and knock of course. It takes effort to create order in a chaotic world.

As with any plan, chaos will randomly interact with the implementation. A dip.

A difficult period where confusion and complication arises.

The bigger the plan the bigger the dip.

The bigger the plan the later in time the period of struggle.

It always occurs about a third of the way through.

Month 3 of a 6 month plan.

In year 2 of a three year plan.

20 minutes into the hour.

The solution is to follow the plan through to the end.

The night is always darkest before dawn.

It will be tough. Double down. Refocus. Look up. Resolve.

Above all - never ever quit.
