The Memory is there - The Recall may not
The Memory is there - The Recall may not
Have you ever chided yourself for not remembering? Or felt the recall of important information on the tip of your tongue?
We all have these moments and it is easy to be critical of ourselves - or to receive such criticism from others.
That might be cynical.
To be marked down.
To put down.
But is that the right approach?
BABY LOVE
Babies have instinctive behaviours that are inherited.
Maybe they are learned behaviours from the past that our super human bodies have learned to pass on down the generations in genetic code.
FORGETABLE
Then we forget during our life times. Or do we?
Humans have a conscious memory that is far from the whole brain, nervous and endocrine chemical memory system at work.
When we remember isn’t that just us being consciously able to recall the fact?
When driving do you consciously remember everything you do?
We know how to drive as a habit and routine without recalling what you need to do each moment as we hurtle along at 15 feet a second (30mph).
When we sit in a new car the challenge of having to consciously recall and work out how to drive demonstrates the difference.
When driving the memory is there but not the conscious recall.
MEMORY
Like with elite athletes who train their muscles and skeleton to perform extreme performance without having to think and work at it. The muscle memory does the job with less conscious effort.
RECALL
Everything we experience can become a memory. The memory is there. We could trust ourselves and each other to find the answer, recall the memory consciously or subconsciously.
Trust encourages and builds confidence in our skills and aptitude and those of the people around us.
