All, Nothing or Another Way

Have you ever been left with a stark choice? A choice that puts you in a quandary between left or right, stop or go, all in or cash out?

Did this cause you angst in making that choice?

We all have these dilemmas on a regular basis in our lives.

Coffee with or without milk. Work out or rest up. Take the job or don’t.

CLARITY

We could analyse the situation for a long time to identify the parameters involved, the issues and consequences of one action or the other. This could help us easily make the decision or complicate the dilemma further ... as if that is the only choice that needs to be made - between right and wrong do or die.

AWAY

Or you could get creative and decide that there must be another way of moving forward, that the stark choice presented to you is not the only option that you have.

Ask questions like is there another way ? what else could I do ? what have I done before that can help here and now ?

Talk to yourself. Talk to other people. Make notes in your journal.? Doodle, draw come up with a design for an alternative way to move forward.

ALTERNATIVE

That being an oxymoron - there is only ever one alternative to any choice. The third way is to choose to make a decision based upon the situation presented to you.

You could take the question presented to you as one option then seek to find an alternative way that you create, design and that calls into action the people around you in your family or business.

There is never a question of only making the decision presented to you. There is always the option to create an alternative way forward. That is leadership, that is creativity, that is a way that mankind can grow forward.

Find a another way forward.
