Make Goals So Big Failure is Great Success

Have you ever had a goal you failed to achieve?
Have you a dream objective you failed to attain?
Did a ‘must do this week’ go astray on you?
It happens to us all.
No matter how small or big the goal, life goes on around us and we get thwarted in our plans.
The bus is late, the client can’t make it, someone goes sick, the job takes longer ...
There is always something to get in the way.
How to fix that?
AIM HIGHER
Humans are great at figuring things out. So make your dreams, goals and objectives much much bigger. How big? Bigger than that.
Big, Bigger, Biggest.
You may never reach that goal but aim for it anyway, you might get lucky.
Even if you fail you will likely end up with more than success at a lower level.
Do the Math.
RELATIVE SUCCESS
You could aim for $100 but only get $80. That’s failure but ok if you can live on that $80.
If your business needs £10,000 a month to pay wages and bills, and you bank £8000 you fail and have a problem. Lack of cash to breath kills a business.
If you make the business goal €100,000 and you Bank €80,000 you fail but with relative success. You pay your €10,000 bills and have money left to reinvest.
It could be worst. You set a goal of €100,000 but only bank €20,000 this month. 20% of target is failure but still a healthy profit in excess of the basic need.
20% of £10,000 is £2,000 and your business fails period.
If you need to take home €100 to your family and take $20 your family fails.
RELATIVE SUCCESS
Change the game. Make your dreams so amazingly high you get vertigo looking back down to where you are right now.
Then go. Set off on the path to your dreams. Work it out as you go along. Humans are amazing and you will find inspiration and ideas along the way.
If you fail and only get 20% of your £1million target you still do ok. Unless of course your target was £100million and you only made 10% -£10 million.
