2023 Cyprus Tax Payments & Return Due Now

Cyprus Self Assessed 2023 Income Tax returns and payments become due from June.

The portal for submission of the 1st half year return is from June to the end of August.

Who needs to do a 2023 tax payment return now?

  • If you have a tax payment for income or other taxes in Cyprus for 2023 income, that is not taxed at source (eg from Cyprus employment payroll), with tax to pay then a self assessed income tax return is due.

  • You should submit a self assessed income tax return if you have:

  • Taxable income in Cyprus in excess of €19,500 a year 2023

  • Cyprus tax residence with overseas worldwide taxable income

  • Sole trader in Cyprus

  • Cyprus company

  • Any tax liability in Cyprus where tax is to be assessed and paid ( including property rental, dividend, interest, royalties)

    • (IF YOU HAVE NON-DOM CERTIFICATE THESE TAXES ARE 0%)

  • Any with real worldwide income liable to Cyprus health tax

When does the tax return need submitting?

Cyprus 1st self assessed tax returns are due by end of July and payment by end of August 2023.

Cyprus 2nd self assessed tax returns are due In December and January (subject to confirmation)
