Death is the hardest thing to face 🪦

Your inevitable death is be a hardest thing to face in life.

But in a lifetime of financial planning, and in over 20 years of providing expat services, I know that it is one of the most important subjects to face head on, during your lifetime.

The worst thing I ever see in my office is a bereaved family coming in after a spouse or parents death frantically trying to organise their affairs because they were’t taken care of during their lifetime.

When it becomes apparent to them that they are liable to up to 40% inheritance tax it breaks my heart.

Because nothing can be done for them.

Not after your death, anyway.

What could have been a cheaper capital gains tax during your lifetime, will become an expensive inheritance tax for your family after your death.

Who do you want to benefit from your wealth? Your family or the taxman?

Death is not an easy thing to face but I challenge you to face it if you haven’t already because I have seen too many distraught widow’s in my time to advise you otherwise.
